Character History
Only after a few years of being on their own without their parents behind them, cleaning up their messes and guiding them towards the ‘right’ path, 25 year old James Whalsh and 21 year old Jori Stone were already expecting their first child who had been the outcome of a party where they both had a bit too much to drink. This is the part where you start to expect a sob story about how Adrian’s father left him because he didn’t want to remember that mistake he made or how even though James stayed, it felt as if he were invisible and never cared about his family and that would be the story of Adrian’s life his parents had not been dating for several months before that one night and even though they hadn’t been meaning to create a child, after a while they got used to the idea and accepted it in a positive way.
There was no problem with finances because James was on his way to becoming a professional Quidditch keeper and was getting offers from all over and contracts were being printed up by sponsors who wanted to make it public that he was representing them. Jori's art was starting to be recognized, partly because her boyfriend was a public figure and partly because it was different than what you would expect from someone who had no artistic background or training and considered painting more as a hobby than a profession. After they found out about Adrian, which was near three weeks after the incident, they had decided to get married and it was not fully because of Adrian because they had been talking about marriage for a while before he was created but they were thinking far distant future, if he were to have anything to do with his parents’ marriage, it would only be that he sped up the process.
The relationship between James and Jori had been a somewhat long on but would be classified as an on/off relationship. The two dated a while when they were at Hogwarts (Jame was a Ravenclaw and Jori had been a Gryffindor) but they had spilt to free each other to new people once James graduated so they could explore the real world which was hard enough without having a relationship to worry about. They met up again in a bookstore a few years later, both of them having their satisfying fill of seeing the world and meeting new people, it is fair to say that it was a mutual opinion that they both knew that what the other was different than any other person they have ever met. They had been dating for nearly five months previous to their discovery of Adrian and they were married on the six month anniversary because Jori didn’t want to look too pregnant at the wedding but she didn’t want to get married after her first child’s birth.
Adrian was born in the early hours of June 1 in a private hospital on the outskirts of London where the newly married couple had their Victorian modeled house built. The house was large as well the amount of land it was on; it was like their front lawn was a professional golf course and if James had any interest in golf, it would’ve become one as well. His first two years were consumed with his parents attempting to make sure he didn’t get hurt too badly, teaching him to walk and trying to get him to say his first word but he was stubborn on that one. He was two when his parents rushed him into a car and they sped to the same private hospital where he had taken his first breath and his father kept telling his mother to breathe deeply, it was not until then had he realized the large bump where his mother’s stomach had once been. He was confused by all the commotion around him and if he were to known how to speak, he would have asked a large amount of questions which would have annoyed his father greatly but since he didn’t know how to speak, he spent the whole time outside of the hospital room window, staring inside because he was not allowed inside. It was years after that he realized that he saw how Sarenity Whalsh was brought into the world.
Things changed with his sister being around, not drastically but enough to make an impact on Adrian’s life. He learned that there were two different types of humans, male and female and that they were extremely different at times but almost the exact same during others. He started learning the basics which would be what the rest of his life would solemnly depend on which was what sparked an argument between his parents but he has no recollection of the incident except the sound of crashing plates and his mother crying on the floor if even that. His parents started arguing about his education for James had thought it would be best to send his child to a muggle school so he could have a normal life until he found out he was a wizard which was at least three or four years off in the future and they were sure their boy was magical because he was a pureblood and there was just no way in their mind that he wouldn’t be. On Jori’s side of the argument she said that it was best to tell him at a young age so he wouldn’t be as shocked as she had been when she had found out about her powers and that homeschooling him would be best because it would be very hard to explain when their child did whatever his first magical event happened to be at school and it wasn’t one of those things that happens again, a first is a first and she was the type of mother who liked being with her child.
The argument went on for a few days, taking a momentary break whenever James got sick of talking with his stubborn wife and walked out of the house and stayed out for a while or whenever Jori felt the need to stop and change the subject. The ending of the debate was when James brought up friends and that was what led into a shorter and less violent and certainly pleasanter [at least for the children] fight about which school he would be attending. His mother won that argument by saying a private school out of town since that would provoke less questions if their neighbors decided to take notice that Adrian wasn’t around much and only around during holidays although the families living in houses next to theirs weren’t likely to do that. Another decision about Adrian which he had absolutely no say in although he couldn’t have understood if he were to be asked, was that he would also be taught the basics of magic from his parents so he wouldn’t be totally clueless on his first day at Hogwarts like most of the muggleborns it would just be a disgrace to be in the same category as a mudblood and that was one of the few things that his parents agreed upon.
He went to a private school out of the small town that his family resided in and there he went until the fourth grade when he finally got his invitation to attend Hogwarts. The first showing of his magical powers was when he changed the color of the frogs that belonged to the science lab to an aqua like blue. Hogwarts wasn’t something that was forced upon him but his parents never once mentioned the option of not going there but he wasn’t hesitant when the letter came. A week before he left for Hogwarts where he would stay until themed semester break, James decided he was going to retire from professional Quidditch and became and agent, looking for aspiring players instead. It was almost obvious he ran it by his wife first for there was no fight after dinner and his mother had a bored look when James told the children as if she already knew. His whole family was there to wish him well on platform nine and three quarters which was where he rode the train to Hogwarts where he would spend most of his next year.
Adrian was sorted into Slytherin and it wasn’t exactly unexpected, at least no to him because the kids he first interacted with were ones with long ancestry with Slytherin alumni which some exceptions here and there. [Seeing that I have to be sorted] During his first two years at Hogwarts, he sent letters home and got some responses if his mother wasn’t too busy with Kalley but they stopped when his sister started Hogwarts as a Ravenclaw which had angered him at first but then he realized Ravenclaws weren’t so bad once he befriended some of them and was told it was better that he didn’t have to see her everyday in the common room and she couldn’t spill his secrets and habits by his friends. He does decent in his classes, mostly getting Bs maybe an A if he feels confident in the subject and a few Cs when he was more interested in a girl in the class than rather the class itself but that usually wore off because he would lose interest in her, or if he was eager for a school holiday.
Later on his life, he just reminisced back to the topic that his father and he once talked about after his father turned into a Death Eater. He was told about the horcruxes and how they didn't teach students about that in school anymore. Eric, or Jacob or Adrian whichever one you wish to call, grew fond of this Dark Magic. He even started to try and make one of his own horcrux, using the watch that his great grandfather had passed on to him as the item. He had to kill some muggle to complete the soul splitting. Ever since he had been planning on becoming the dark lord. There is only one thing that Eric has to do before he brings his plan to action and that is graduate, maybe he will go forth with it even before he graduates.
Character Personality
How most people who have brief interactions with him think he is like and what he is actually like are very different. Unlike most, he doesn’t care what others think about him but when they start making judgments from the rumors, inferences, and opinions is when he gets pissed off. One of the things fellow students assume is that he is lazy and that is somewhat true. They probably think this because he never seems like paying attention in class but even with his eyes closed he can process everything the professors say and remember it. He has never had a failing grade in his life but very few besides his teachers know that and every time his teachers try to convince themselves that he isn’t just copying somebody next to him, he’ll give them the wrong answer just to play with them. He is very well respected among his peers because one of the assumptions they make is that he is violent and this is one of the few opinions he wouldn’t mind changing.
He likes being a different person than everybody else thinks he is because it gives him a security knowing that if he does decide to turn into the person they think he is, the only people who will be disappointed in him would be his teachers and parents which isn’t that big of a deal in his opinion. Adrian is patient with others and doesn’t snap at every single thing and sometimes he lets others see that but they only see what they want to see. He is laid back, letting fights, arguments and hard decisions are something he is never involved in voluntarily. He lets people say what they want and he understands that other people have their own opinions but if it is a topic he does feel strongly about he will speak up and express his own opinion, shocking some along the way. He is the type of guy who always has a small group of close friends with him but never a best friend and that has the way he has lived his life since he knew how to speak the word ‘friend’. He believes safety lies in numbers.
There are a few assumptions about him that are right on such as the fact that he shuts people out if they get too close/too personal too quickly. He won’t jump into a lake without knowing how deep it is, what’s in it, what the temperature is, he is always prepared and doesn’t jump the gun with anything unless there is something that’s blurring his judgment such as alcohol or just a very stressful day. Something that doesn’t go away no matter how long you know him is his insults, most of them playful but a few that have an underlying layer of hate behind them. His sarcasm is something he is proud of, along with his wit because it is among the very few things he does put effort into and that can be seen. Even though he can deal with rumors and things, one of the things he will not tolerate is an idiot, especially one who does it on purpose to try to act ‘cool’ although there are some moments where he will make an exception. He knows that people learn at different rates and stuff but that slips his mind at times and he gets very mad when they don’t learn.
Eric, well, or Adrian is an intellectual Slytherin. A bit different from the rest of them. He can also chang this personaliy to a second in which he is smply a nightmare. He loves to be in control and to tell everyone else who’s boss. The funny thing is as well; Eric is famous for being intelligent but feared because his intelligence means he is powerfully magical. He has a habit of catching small animals from Forests or else stealing them from the care of magical creature’s teacher to practise dark spells on.
Even though he isn't you typical Slytherin student, Eric is cunning. Definitely cunning, why do you think he never gets into trouble for thieving and for maltreatment? Well he makes sure his victims won’t snitch on him for a start. But Eric is a smooth talker; he is easily able to talk himself out of trouble, using his low, husky voice to turn the tables over so that it is the teachers apologizing to him, so that the person who has spotted him won’t go running off to the next teacher they see and his calm demeanour means he is able to lie easily and get away with it.
Therefore Eric hardly ever gets into trouble. However the boy hardly ever gets caught, his cunning streak means he plans everything so that he won’t fail. He thinks things through, plugging any and every gap in an attempt to avoid detection. Of course, he is only human and does slip up sometimes, but not enough for any of the teachers to suspect him. Eric has the ability to learn extremely quickly, he is ambitious and will do everything in his power to make his dreams and goals become reality. For one, becoming the Dark Lord. Eric usually tries hard in school, he is calculative and goes against random judgement that is until he gets too upset then, well...:
Character Appearance
( HAIR ) : Eric's hair is a dark brown and at medium length, some might say short but whatever. His hair is usually well kept and grows very fast, the reason behind him getting it but every few weeks. Only on certain occasions does he let his hair grow below shoulder length, it depends on what the girls at Hogwarts think is best.
( EYES ) : Eric's eyes are almond shaped and a chocolate brown color. If you were to gaze upon them, it would be hard not to love them. His glare can be pretty cold when angry, sort of scary also. His eyelashes rests upon his eyelid perfectly, and they are not really long but not short either, somewhere in the middle. Eric loves the ways his eyes are, well only if everyone else likes them, if not contacts are in order, even though it was stated that he doesn't care what everyone else thinks.
( FACIAL STRUCTURE ) : Eric's face is angular and he has a strong law line, extremely noticeable when he chews. His ears fit in their respective places perfectly, they aren't too big, pretty much just right and how Eric likes them. His nose on the other hand isn't so great in his point of view, even though his face was said to be a gift from the Gods. It is somewhat a mixture of round and pointy, a bit too big for Eric. Probably the best feature of his face is his lips and how they were stated to be so lucious. There is only one word to describe them and thats appealing. In facial structure he looks alot like his mother.
( BODY STRUCTURE ) : Eric's body was also said to be a gift from the gods, taking the figure of his father who had a very muscular and athletic build. Eric has nicely chiseled triceps, biceps and abs often showing them to any girl that asks to see. He has broad shoulders like his father, which he thinks proves his masculinity. He is about sixe feet and one inch in height and approximately one hundred and sixty five pounds in weight, mostly because of his muscular build. Overall Eric is totally fit and looks as if he was made for the very sport he plays which is Quidditch.
( DISTINGUISHING FEATURES ) : Like I said before, probably his lips. Mostly because he was complimented on them over his years at hogwarts. The most perfect kissing appliance.
( ATTIRE ) : When not wearing the slytherin robes, When out of regular school apparel Eric usually wears a plain white t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans with several rips in them, which seemed to be the style. He also wears a rather large round belt buckle with a picture of a wolf made in the buckly, he keeps it exposed tucking the piece of his shirt which goes over it inside of his pants. For shoes, Eric usually wears black, brown or white shoes which go with the color shirts that he has.
( SUMMARY ) : His mother is a very pretty women, with defined features and an hourglass body. Eric is often told that he looks a lot like her, but has his fathers build. His father is a tall and muscular man. Though thin his features are very rough and his animagus is a cougar. Eric's face is angular yet smooth. His eyes are a soft and inviting chocolate brown, these eyes that were just said to be soft and inviting can also be carce and cold depending on his mood. He is six feet and one inch and has broad shoulders and an athlete's build. His arms are muscular but not very large because he is fairly thin.
