Ah, Hogwarts. Wonderful things always happen here, including the fact that headmistress McGonagall had decided to let faeries enter the school. Maci took this as a fair treatment; after all, the faeries should be treated the same, right?
Maci's been here for quite awhile now, 6 years to be specific. Each year was the same for her, or close to the same: prejudice against faeries and other sorts of magical creatures, discussion about dangerous happenings to faeries, and that annoying mysterious threat that lingered at Ireland, the faerie's home land. She still had loads of questions, but they could wait.
Maci set her hand lightly on the ugly witch statue, admiring the works. She was actually surprised that she was put in Gryffindor seeing as her family had always told her she was Ravenclaw material. But it wasn't something she could change. The sorting hat had said it out loud, and she was there. Gryffindor.
She marveled at that thought, continuing to glance at the statue. Maci's been told that this lead to a secret passageway to the wizarding village of Hogsmeade. She's been there frequently on weekends, but never by secret passageways. Maybe.... Maci shook her head with a small smile. No rule breaking today.

Annabella was on her way to the Hufflepuff common room, she purposely took the long way so she could explore Hogwarts further. She loved the fact that Hogwarts held a number of secret passageways. It made it more fun to be able to look for them, and maybe even use them, depending on where they lead. Annabella smiled to herself as she rounded the corner on the third floor corridor. Skipping merrily about, she spotted a Gryffindor girl. Obviously older than she was, but she looked pretty friendly. She walked up to her. "Hello, i'm Annabella."

Accidents Happen~ [/center] Shin was whistling as he walked. Shin had some free time and he had decided to study while walking around the castle. To him it was an easy way to learn, get some exercise, and explore. Unfortunately, Shin was completely immersed in his "100 Curses & Hexes That You Should Know" book and wasn't paying attention to where he was going.
Shin, completely oblivious to his surroundings, walked right into the two girls in front of him. Dropping his book upon impact, Shin snapped out of his trance. "Oh, sorry. I should have paid more attention to where I was going." Shin apologized as he studied the two girls before him.
Suddenly, Shin recognized once. "Oh, hey Anabella." Shin said as he noticed the hufflepuff girl. "How's it going?" He asked as he began to look at the other girl. She.. he didn't know. Shin frowned, he still didn't know a lot of people in the school.
This girl was apparently a gryffindor. Shin knew he saw her somewhere before. Whatever, he thinks to himself, Hogwarts is huge. I could have seen her anywhere. Shin then remembered he never introduced himself. Shin decided to do just that, "Hey, sorry about bumping into you. I'm Shin."

As Annabella stood there, waiting for a response from the Gryffindor girl, someone had walked right into both of them. Startled, she whipped around. She was pleased to see that it was Shin; someone she knew, he apologized. "Oh, hey Annabella" he said. Annabella bent down to pick up the book he had dropped when he accidentally ran into her and the Gryffindor. "How's it going?" he asked her. She smiled at him, handing him his book. "Great, yourself?" She didn't wait for him to respond, she just blurted out, "You look nice." She blushed. Oh my gosh, why did i say that? He's totally going to think i'm creepy and weird..

Footsteps echoed down the corridor behind her and Maci turned around, expecting to see another one of those sneering Slytherins. To her surprise she spotted a Hufflepuff instead, a girl about 2 years younger than her. She had long dark hair, a small smile on her face as she spotted Maci. "Oh hello," Maci said with a grin. The girl - Annabella - looked friendly, not one of those weird, prejudice types at all. Then her eyes narrowed, remembering that Annabella didn't know she was a faerie. I wonder what would happen if I told her... Maci thought with a wry smile before shaking her head. Like I have to.
Before she could reply though there was a small thump and the Gryffindor spun around, bemused for a split second. In front of her was a boy about her age, his face apologetic. Her eyes traveled down to the ground and realized that he must've dropped his book or something, and just as she noticed this, he was already saying that he was sorry. Maci grimaced, not much of a fan of apologies as she glanced back up again. "No, it's fine." She said, wondering why she was acting so..polite. "I'm Maci, um, Anderson by the way...it's nice to meet you guys." There. An addition for both Annabella and the Ravenclaw named Shin.
Annabella bent to scoop up the book and Maci immediately sensed some kind of an uncomfortable pause pass between her, a pause the Gryffindor used almost gratefully for a sign of distraction. She drew her wand from her pocket, prodding the stone statue in front of her, palpably irritated. "Uh," Maci began uncertainly, turning back to Annabella and Shin. "Sorry to barge in like this, but do you happen to know..." She trailed off, gesturing toward the witch. "Just...do you know any secret passageways around here?" [/blockquote]

Shin smiles as Annabella hands him his book. Graciously taking it back, Shin dusts it off as Annabella returns his greeting. He is about to say his day was going good when she suddenly compliments his looks. Shin let out a friendly laugh. "Thanks, you look good too." He replies as he hears the other girl beginning to speak.
Shin hears Maci talk about secret passages. Shin, being the curious little boy that he always was, did know some of the secrets of Hogwarts. He began to wonder why she wanted to know. Oh well, she might just be curious. Besides, knowledge is power. He thought to himself as he began to think about the secret passageways he knew.
Suddenly, Shin recognizes the statue. It's been a while since he had been here, but he knows this was the right one. "Dissendium," Shin says aloud with a mischievous smile. Shin watches as the hump on the statue moves away, revealing the passageway behind it. "It leads to Honeydukes," he states as the passageway is revealed.

Maci watched warily as the statue of the ugly witch moved away, a dark hole behind it. There was a staircase leading down from the hole though she couldn't really make out to where it lead until Shin told her that the end was Honeydukes. The Gryffindor felt herself smiling as she continued to gaze at the passageway curiously. Interesting...
Honedukes, huh? Maci's smile widened. She hadn't been there in ages with summer break and all that, and she felt like she deserved it. Maci had been stuck at home, working on her homework, sharpening her skills in magic so that she wouldn't forget them. But now...she wondered if she should have some fun. Was it okay? Maci glanced at Annabella for a few seconds before switching her gaze back to Shin. That was when she noticed it - the small badge pinned to his cloak. A Prefect's badge.
"I'm guessing we shouldn't go then?" Maci asked with a small nod, her fingers gesturing toward the badge. "You wouldn't be carrying out your duties correctly then. Or maybe you'll take some points away from Gryffindor." But from what Maci knew, all of the houses were still at zero. She immediately wondered if it was possible to have negative house points. Kara pressed her lips firmly together as she took in the sight before her. Yep, they were all here. A Gryffindor, a Ravenclaw, and yet another Hufflepuff. She might as well venture off to the dungeons to drag a Slytherin here and they'll have everyone. Yet why would she want one of them ruin the fun? The people in front of her clearly were here for a reason. Or at least they just realized that.
"Hey guys, what's up?" Kara asked conversationally as she strode further down the corridor toward the three. She immediately recognized two of them: Shin Kyoudan was back, along with that Hufflepuff girl she'd once seen during breakfast. Annabella...Kara remembered, who was a year older than her. A chill ran up her spine; Hogwarts was actually a pretty small place, wasn't it?
With a deep breath and a big grin plastered across her face, Karina turned to face the Gryffindor whom she had never met. The girl had dirty blonde hair and looked several years older than her...maybe a 5th year? A 6th year? But she looked friendly enough and Kara felt her confidence boosted by that. She'd never been much of the socializer, yet during messed up times like this she had to find some allies. "I don't think we've met," Kara began brightly, "but I'm Karina Youngblood. And you?" She hoped she wasn't being too assertive... [/blockquote]
